The good and the bad about the time spent on 2 wheels.
I have been cycling for about 7 or 8 years now and have done a few races locally.
The longest ride took me from Glenashley in Durban to Port Edward. The distance was measured as 188 km and took me just under 8 hours to complete, It was an unforgetable expereince and one I would love to repeat.
My wife, Carrie, and I decided to buy a tandem for our first wedding anniversary as a present to each other and to spend some time together doing something we could both enjoy - well the plan has changed somewhat!! 
We got married on the 24th of november 2007 and have owned a tandem since before then! We started to look for a bike because I knew that in Durban they are few and far between. When Carrie was shopping for her brother birthday present at Dave Wisemans Cycling store in Durban she saw two tandems within the price range (well sort of). We went to 'look' that weekend and well the rest is history!!!
